Has anyone had one? Any tips or experiences to share?

Currently 37 weeks with baby 3, first was emergency section after failed induction (large baby, bad position, was never going to happen😂), second was planned section (gd, average size baby, no complications)

I'm really keen to get my vbac but also worried about the risks so will happily book in a section if I go past my due date. As I've never laboured spontaneously before, I think I'm concerned my body just doesn't know what to do!

Is there hope for me 😂

I had a home birth vba2c with third. I'd never gone into labour naturally myself and it was 41+6 when he appeared though contractions started on and off from 41+3! My main tip is to relax and try to forget about it! Do things you enjoy.

The miles circuit was good for feeling like I was doing something to make it all start- though honestly I'm not sure it did but it gave me a little routine to focus on. Spinning babies website is excellent as a resource for pre labour/labour exercises and positions to help with various positions/weights baby might get themselves into/be.

I wasn't going to have sweeps but ended up being pressured into them so had two. I don't think they helped to be honest and I wouldn't have them again though others in my position swore by them.

I didn't find any of the other "tips" to start labour worked for me (sex/pineapple/dates/epo/raspberry tea/currys/nipple stimulation/orgasm etc).

I'm attempting my 2hba2c this year and I'm just going to try and not overthink it this time and not get focused on dates etc. I've opted out of consultant care because I found the stress they put me under last time was horrid and I think delayed everything from starting because I was so anxious. Obviously I don't advocate that for anyone else- for me it's definitely the right decision though.

I had hospital vba2c. I also did miles circuit and found spinning babies helpful. I kept active and did some yoga most days through the pregnancy. Tried to eat well and made sure to drive lots of water. I tried not to worry about it too much! I did have an section booked in for a few days after my due date because they had some stats saying chance success declined after due date. Fortunately baby was cooperative and a slow labour started about 39+4, baby arrived with some help just a few minutes into 40+1.

I think it's v unlikely youlll go into labour by your due date the majority of women labour in the 41st week so I'd push your section/induction back. I've had two emc planning my third and final pregnancy next year and will be chasing this vbac again for sure ! I would advise you to join vbac uk support group on Fb it has been invaluable for me in terms of knowledge and actual facts. There are a lot of scaremongering around vbacs but the statistics are very clear and the risk of rupture very low

I had an emergeny csection with my first and just had an elective section planned(well went into labour early at 37 weeks) with my second. I was told at the hospital that due to me having two sections of I had any other children they would need to be by a section too
