Can someone please give me advice/HOPE that these things heal?!
ive had one for around 3 weeks and it’s making it very hard to enjoy my newborn, or anything at all.
ive had progress this past week in the fact I’m not constipated anymore. However, it feels as though they never heal?! I’m not in as much pain as I was at first. But how can the area heal if I poo everyday?
right now I experience burning and itching rather than stinging. It’s a lot more manageable.

I just want to hear some positive stories! Did yours go away and how long did it take?

Get some lactoluse/speak to the pharmacist....can't remember exactly because it felt like it was getting better then I'd have an agonising poo and felt like I was back at square one. 2or 3 weeks maybe?
How are you feeling now?

Ask your gp for proctosedyl suppositories and ointment, and laxido. Mine were under control within a week with that combo

You must take full daily dose of lactulose and maybe psyllium husk. It’s an excruciating pain and you want to have very soft very regular stools. I’m sorry mine lasted over a year.

Thanks for your replies!
I still have the fissure..
I’ve been taking lactulose and even increased my dose but it doesn’t seem consistent in softening my stool? After days of soft stool it’s randomly rock hard again which makes the fissure reopen 😭

Laxido is better. It works differently, not sure how but definitely better
