Hi! Im nearly 36 I have an 11 and 8 year old I'm currently due my 3rd baby and will be having a c section at the end of the year because of the large age gap I would really like a 4th so my 3rd has a similar aged sibling all the family and friends are done having babies and I can't help feel like my baby will grow up without a playmate I could financially possibly squeeze a 4th I have an appointment with Dr at the hospital to discuss the birth I worry they will say don't have anymore because it's my 3rd section my previous sections were textbook with minimal blood loss I would like to try in 12 months from the birth of my 3rd has anyone had a 4th 12 months after there 3rd section? I’ve seen people mention they’d had 4 sections on some of these posts before so it’s definitely do-able! I’ve also seen people be told ‘no more’ after two due to how thin their womb was or something. If you’ve had two straightforward ones already chances are you’ll be fine to have a 4th. Sometimes I think they just say they don’t recommend things to try and put you off but when you’re already in that situation it would be completely fine. Wait and see how this one goes 😊 good luck

My midwife did! It is definitely possible.

My friend did, no problems at all

Yes of course its possible. Do your research on increased risks of placenta previa and accretia, the risk increases in each section but its still quite low. The increases from the 3rd to 4th section is nominal.

They can't tell how well you have recovered scarring wise until they perform this section but you can flag with the team that you would hope to have another baby and can they note the scarring and thinness of your uterine wall. That will help inform your decision.

I've had 5 and recovered very well after each. The only extra care or accommodation for the first was the baby was born at 38 +5 weeks. Best of luck with your decision and this pregnancy.

You won't really know until they do this section. My friend was told not to have a 3rd baby as her internal scarring was bad and organs had moved/fused oddly after her 1st section.

I know someone who's had 5 sections.
She was advised against getting pregnant after the third but in the doctors own words " we can't leave it in there can we "

@germsandcoffee thanks for sharing the quote from the Dr... It really made me laugh.

Posh spice had four c-sections and seems to be doing ok. That's all of my knowledge about posh spice and anyone having had four c-sections in one sentence.
