Hi everyone,

I am in week 40 and there is no sign of labor. I don't want to be induced. I am really worried. 🥲🥲

Best advice I've got is have a nap. And then when you wake up roll over and nap again.
Repeat this on a loop while you can
Good luck when the time comes OP Flowers

I think relaxing about it a little will help in some way too - get those positive hormones flowing!

Maybe do something you love doing? Go for a coffee and read a book, do a face mask and a nice bath etc to get those endorphins flowing!

Driving / being the passenger might help too, I definitely found that help me dilate when in labour too

Increase the oxytocin, cuddle, dance, do things you enjoy and baby will come when they're ready :) (I know it's easier said than done!)
Follow some people on social media like the naked doula and absorb all the positive vibes! You've got this mama!
DD1 40 + 8
DD2 40 + 6
So I totally get how rough being 'overdue'! x

Another person suggesting walking sideways up the stairs crab-style! Limit lounging back into the sofa and how much you put your feet up. Still on the very front of the sofas edge leaning forward (remember: upright, foreword, open). Go on an oxygocin boost (avoid stress, watch films, tv shows that make you laugh etc). But, also know that the NICE guidelines say that induction isn’t necessary at 42 weeks unless there’s a clinical need (I.e. distress, GD etc), so ask questions whether it’s really needed if you get to that point. I also kept reminding myself that it’s a ‘due window’ and baby will come when ready.
