Suggestions for keeping C-section dry

I'm roughly 2 weeks post emergency c-section. I've just finished a five day course of antibiotics for an infection. The doctor doesn't think I need an additional course of antibiotics and has advised bathing the area in salt water, airing it, and keeping it dry. He thinks once the area is properly dry, it will be able to heal properly.

Any suggestions for how to keep the area dry? I'm washing it twice a day, patting it dry with a towel and airing it afterwards. I'm also patting the area dry every time I go to the loo. The doctor suggested keeping a sanitary pad on the area.

I used a hair dryer on mine rather than a towel after showering. Then I aired it by lying on my bed for a while before I went to sleep.

I had similar after a hysterectomy
big pants with a sanitary towel worked for me.

salt baths with some lavender oil also aided healing - plus was relaxing.

Air drying and big full briefs were fine for me both times.

I was advised to tuck a sanitary towel on the wound and hold in place with big knickers. Also lay on the bed and use a cold hairdryer after a shower.

I was told not to use a hairdryer as they blow dust and bits of hair onto the wound.

I washed without wetting that area for as long as I could after a full shower initially to wash sticky plasters off etc. It’s been 5 weeks now and it’s healed well and I love having proper baths again and often put magnesium salts in (bought 10kg from eBay !)
