Saggy skin and stubborn fat

Hi. I have name changed for this as in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal but it is really getting me down.

I gave birth to my second son just over a year ago. I have worked hard to lose the 4 stones I gained with him and now I am back to my pre-baby weight and into my pre-baby clothes.

The problem is the saggy skin on my belly. It looks like crepe paper 🙈 I moisturise the area twice a day with no improvement. I also have a stubborn pocket of fat around my belly button and no matter what I do nothing will shift it.

I live a fit and healthy lifestyle, drink plenty of fluids and exercise frequently. I am toned (apart from the stubborn belly fat) and have a BMI of 20.

I am considering non-surgical treatments to help me with this. Has anyone tried fat dissolving injections for stubborn pockets of fat? Will losing this extra fat make my saggy skin worse? Are there any non-surgical treatments to reduce saggy skin?

Any advice welcomed. TIA x

Absolutely no help here but depending how bad and stubborn, I'm pretty sure the only option is surgery. I'm sure once the skin has lost it's elastic it doesn't come back? I could be completely wrong though. Hoping you get some better answers, I have a little pocket of skin at the bottom of my belly from my pregnancy five years ago, I'm now 38 weeks pregnant and it's a little saggy at the bottom of my bump 😔 no matter what I've done I've never been able to get rid of it! If you find out tag me haha

Yes losing more fat will make the crepey skin even saggier, the skin stretched past the point of repair and can't really be fixed, short of a tummy tuck that removes it really.

Thank you for your helpful responses. I'm not going to lie... it is not what I wanted to hear! I guess I was hoping for a non-invasive miracle cure that doesn't exist.
I'm off to Google tummy tucks now haha.

@mumtumproblems

There is a lot of firming creams out there,
But I have no idea if they work and for the price of them I'm not sure I'm willing to try them haha. You could always try and let us know if they work haha.

If it’s not too bad you might be able to get a mini tummy tuck rather than a full tummy tuck. It’s less invasive with a smaller scar. They don’t touch the muscles underneath, they just remove the skin on top.

Thanks again for the responses!

@boymummys I am going to go for a cream I have seen advertised loads on social media. It's called 'B-Flat' and has good reviews. It's £45 a bottle but much cheaper than a 6k tummy-tuck so I'm practically saving money right? 🙈 So far I have user coco butters/bio oils so it's time to up the ante.

During my investigations I have also discovered 'micro-needling' for sagging/crepey skin. It can help improve the collagen and elasticity. I think I will give that a go too.

Thank you to the poster who advised about a mini tummy-tuck which just removes the skin. If the expensive creams and micro-needling doesn't work that may be an option.

I will be back to this thread with any results, good or bad. Wish me luck x

2 weeks of waiting and the B-Flat cream finally came today. According to the website:

'This clinically proven cream helps to create the appearance of a smoother, tighter, and firmer-looking belly. Helps to fade the appearance of stretch marks for younger looking stomach skin'

I'll use is as directed and come back to this thread with results! Wish me luck 🍀

Hi, just wondered how you have got on with the B-flat cream? I keep seeing it everywhere but want a genuine review of it.

Hello! I am so sorry about the late response, I took some time away.

I used this cream all throughout the Spring/Summer on my tummy.
I definitely found that my skin was 'tighter' and my belly more firm. It has an ingredient in it that almost burns on your skin and you can actively feel it tightening for the first 15 minutes. Quite addictive actually lol. I used the cream daily until it finished (lasted for ages as you do not need a large amount)

Whilst not a miracle cure, it 100% improved the look of my 'crepe' skin. As promised, it tightened and firmed my skin but I wouldn't describe it as a fat-burner. I will be ordering again this Spring for sure 👍🏽

I only stopped using it during the Autumn/Winter months as it was quite pricey and no one (apart from DH!) will see my tummy.

Come Spring I will take advantage of the multi-buy offers to save a bit of cash.

All in all, I would rate an honest 8.5/10

I hope this helps! 😊
