Will my consultant induce me? Recurrent RFM

Hi, I'm 36.5 weeks pregnant and have had quite a few episodes of reduced fetal movement in my 3rd trimester. My hospital have been fab and I've had growth scans almost every 2 weeks and the odd Doppler scan in between. All of the scans have showed a healthy baby with no problem, so in turn they can't find a reason for the reduced movements. She does liven up after a day of not moving but it really freaks me out!

I've had about 5+ episodes and last week the midwife at the FMAU requested another growth scan and a consultant appointment at 38.5 weeks. My question is, can I request induction to take place after this appointment? If so when would they induce me from? I'm thinking it'd be 39 weeks but I just want to know if they'd make me go to 40. Would they even take me seriously? What do I even say?!

I just feel like I'm so close to the finish line and these episodes of RFM are really setting off my anxiety, I can't shake the feeling something is wrong and she needs to be out as soon as poss. I'm probably over exaggerating but surely there must be some reason for all these episodes...

I'd love to hear any experiences you may all have! Thank you!!

Hi there , I was induced after multiple episodes of RFM (maybe 3/4 in last 10 weeks). I went into the A&E around 37+5 for RFM and a consultant came down and said they would recommmend induction and booked me in for 38weeks exactly . All CTGs and scans were normal . It’s up to you whether to accept the recommendation or you could ask for daily monitoring instead ? Do you have an anterior placenta by any chance ?

Hi @SaraKitty thanks so much for sharing your experience, RFM are so scary! Your experience sounds very similar to mine so I'm hoping the consultant will take me seriously. I'm not dead set on induction but yeah maybe more regular monitoring would put my mind at rest, I'll be sure to suggest this! I don't have an anterior placenta and I've always felt her movements so strong even from very early on, that's why it freaks me out so much when these episodes occur!

Fingers crossed baby girl will be here happy and healthy soon and I can stop stressing!
