Hi, am 40+2
Story so far:

After more than a week of BH and various cramps and contractions which were not becoming regular....

2300 Major emotional crying fit (unlike me) because DP was playing a computer game all day long and it suddenly felt like too much of feeling alone.
2330 series of contractions, whilst lying in bed on left side which then tailored off after DP and I talked and sorted things out. I got up for a while at 0200 but nothing progressed so back to bed.
Awoke now at 0500 with fluid loss, not pink, clear and not mucousy like regular discharge, just thin and clear along with contractions which feel a bit like trapped wind, so might not be the real thing. feel like i need to fart or poo (!) and feeling weight above pubic bone, rectum and vagina. Went back to bed for 20 mins but more wind feeling, and more fluid loss but not a soaking or obvious gushing, can catch it with tissue.
All day (infact increasingly for four days) lower back ache (like soft tissue not bone) and extremely heavy/pressure feeling in pelvis, as if I am swinging a bunch of bananas behind my pubic bone!!

I have felt so very about to give birth for days, but it's my first so I'm clueless, though being very much in touch with my body, could be oversensitive and......

am I going insane?

No show, i.e no bloody show, no waters breaking....

does it sometimes start simply with contractions and feeling completely emotional?

does anyone

I reckon you'll have your baby tonight/early hours of tommorrow Lili. I reckon I'll go tommorrow or on 2nd not tonight though only getting mild period type pain. I'm so bored I'm thinking of cracking open the gas and air that the home birth team have left here just for fun!

1dilemma · 31/12/2007 21:52

you go for it Ledodgy!!
Good Luck and Happy New Year to you both

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 01/01/2008 07:45

Any news ladies?

Ledodgy · 01/01/2008 10:26

No news from me still getting mild pains but nothing to write hime about. Am very pissed off and i'm not even due till Sunday! I went 3 days early with the other two but ideally want to go into labour before tommorrow as dp goes back to work and he works an hour and a half away. My last labour was 40 minutes. MIL is my only childcare and she's quite unreliable so I know i'm going to end up giving birth with a four year old and two year old as my birth partners.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 01/01/2008 11:42

Oh Ledodgy I didn't mean to, but I did when you mentioned your birth partners.

Where do you live? Do you have any friends who can look after your lo's? My friend had this situation with her 3rd, as her previous labour was really fast.

Luckily everything worked out well, which I am sure it will for you. Things always seem to don't they?

Have you thought about cracking open the Clary Sage and lots of nipple stim?

Nemostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 01/01/2008 13:10

OI ledodgy if you get really stuck give me a bell will come and help if I can..lol besides then you would have 5 kids and me as abirth partner...scene that makes nightmares..

kindersurprise · 01/01/2008 15:52

How are things with you two? Are your two future MNetters here yet?

Ledodgy · 01/01/2008 16:58

Nahh nothing here i'm just very pissed off and so huge I can hardly move. God knows how people go overdue i'm used to being a few days early and if I don't with my third i'm going to scream! Hopefully Lili will have had her baby by now her signs were much more promising and she has waited over 40 weeks so deserves it.

lilimama · 01/01/2008 17:58

oh god....

see next post..... what the hell happened to my established labour?

lilimama · 01/01/2008 18:00

p.s ledodgy I'm sorry you're not getting an cx yet, or only mild ones. I understand so well about the feeling so huge thing. sounds like things may not be far off for you. thinking of you and hoping for action on your turf soon.

Ledodgy · 01/01/2008 18:17

Eh Lili have you had your baby or not? Don't tell me you're still waiting? If so that's just not fair!

lilimama · 01/01/2008 18:34

see newer post...what the hell happened....

sob sob

Ledodgy · 01/01/2008 19:02

What newer post? Am I going mad?

Ledodgy · 01/01/2008 19:05

Ahh a new thread I get you I was looking on here for another post! Oh what a nightmare I hope things start happening for you again soon.

Ledodgy · 01/01/2008 19:09

It sounds like you are in labour from your other post but it sounds like my first labour which had a long and drawn out first stage. Your baby will be born very soon i'm sure of it. Just go with it let your body do what it has to and focus I used to visualise climbing a mountain until the peak of contraction then climbing down the otherside it really does help!
