Fast labour after induction - will it be the same second time?

Hi, I am looking for advice on anyone who has a precipitous birth (delivered within 3 hours of contractions starting) after having an induction. Has anyone gone on to have more children?

I am thinking about baby number 2, but am really anxious that the birth will be extremely fast again and I won't have chance to get to hospital. I don't really know if the birth was fast because I was induced, or if it would have been that fast anyway?

Thanks in advance x

Me. Precipitous labour after induction at 42 weeks with DC1.

DC2 I was induced early at 38 weeks, I was expecting it to be just as quick bit it took 4 days, 4 pessaries (agony by the 3rd one) and then finally after the fourth one doctor was able to break my waters and I got the drip. Once labour finally kicked in, it was quick, but after days of contractions which never managed to get anywhere I was exhausted.

Should add - I just don't think DC2 was ready and they shouldn't have induced me. Whereas DC1 was ready and just needed a nudge. So I guess it depends on that.

Yes, first (induced) labour was 2.5 hours. Second labour (home birth) was 4 hours. I wanted a home birth anyway but was also advised to do it because of the first labour. It was absolutely fine. Lovely home water birth with no pain relief needed because it was so quick. Went on ti have a third - also home water birth, also quick - 3 hours.

Yes. First birth (induced) an hour and a half start to finish. The midwife wanted me to consider a home birth for DC2 but I was having none of it. There were therefore notes that once contractions started properly, even if only 10 mins apart, that I could go to hospital.

Hospital 20 mins away. By the time I got there they were three mins apart. DD2 was born back to back two and three quarter hours after we arrived at the hospital.

You know your body and what it feels like.

Thank you for your replies. So it sounds like it wasn't necessarily the induction that made the labour quick. I wasn't really sure. There's definitely perks to a quick labour but it was quite traumatic with my little boy so it's definitely making me worry about doing it again. I suppose I'll be prepared for it next time.
