11 weeks PP and don’t know what to think

Hi ladies,

I’m 11 weeks PP and I’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster (I’m sure we all have!). I’ve had such a hard time with reflux, CMPA and my vagina after birth.

I was in labour for 20 hours, pushing for 2. About half an hour of that I was holding my breath to push with contractions. My DS was 9lb 1. First baby. I didn’t tear but I did a lot of Peranium massage.

I fully urinated myself a 2-3 times in the week following the birth so the midwife told me to go the GP.

There I saw a physician associate (not a doctor -fresh out of university) who told me I had a bladder prolapse. I had too much going on at the time with a sick baby to register it.

Then I got infections so went back again about 4 weeks pp and saw the same woman. She told me again that I have one and it’s probably a grade 2. She did a referral to the gynaecologist.

I got really upset over it and felt like I didn’t want to be here Sad I had a dull ache in my Peranium, especially when sitting. I can’t see most of my vagina hole anymore (maybe 1cm if lying back), a wall of tissue is coming down over it from the top. My pee hole looks massive. I read everything about prolapses and decided I couldn’t wait 12 weeks for the NHS referral. I just want to say I’ve looked at pictures of a cystocele and it’s definitely not that. It looks almost walnut textured, not like a balloon.

I went to see a private pelvic health physio who’s highly rated and said I’ve got a hypertonic pelvic floor causing symptoms of prolapse. I asked about the tissue and she said it’s normal. She said no prolapse but I do have vagina laxity. Completely normal as 1 in 2 women have the same thing. She examined me again 2 weeks later and said 100% no prolapse and she thinks I never had one.

One of my friends has exactly the same and has been told the same by a urogynae.

Has anyone else had this? Did it get better? It’s mainly the dislodged tampon feeling, air bubbles and the look of this walnut thing which is bothering me

Sorry I should say she said vagina wall laxity. Not vaginal laxity* I took that as meaning my walls are a bit loose

I have a cystocele and also have a walnut textured prolapse. Youngest is 4 now and it’s definitely a lot better but not great.
Went to physio and they were useless.
Lost a stone and a half which helped a lot
It improved when I stopped breastfeeding
Also I bought a kegel8 machine which helped
