Whose had 3 sections and what was your third like ., any issues / major blood loss ?
I've had 2 EMC's after attempting vaginal and been strongly advised for elective next time which I'm gutted about as I hate the recovery but I won't ignore medical advice am also aware the more sections you have the risks go up

My third was probably my easiest! I knew what to expect and how to manage until I was recovered so recovery was quick and smooth.
The actual c-section took a fair bit longer and they didn’t go in via my old c-section scar (went through my first scar with second section) so I now have 2 scars. The op itself there were no issues.

I've had three. It was also my easiest one and I recovered quicker. They went in the same scar each time.
My second one was actually the more problematic one where I needed a blood transfusion and my wound reopened .

I've had 4. No issue with any of them, recovered easily and could have another if needed. The risk does go up slightly, but then again you're just as likely to have complications with a natural birth, prolapse, hemorrhage etc. I've had an emc and an elective is so much nicer and easier to recover from, so don't let your previous sections put you off.

Thanks all @SecondSwitch I'm gutted to not be able to try for vbac again but I'm gooong to embrace the positives of an elective as I didn't get to enjoy or remember the moment of meeting my other 2 daughters one I was asleep for and one I was throwing up :/ falling asleep I was that exhausted. Both EMC after 26 and 17 hours of hard labour and pushing so an elective I'm hoping will be a nicer experience for me and my husband as it hasn't beeen nice for him to watch x

My mum had three caesarians over 30 years ago and was totally fine with her third. She has a clotting issue and was ok.

I've had 3, all elective. My first was the hardest to recover from. Second was the easiest barely needed any pain relief. When I had my third section they did prepare me lots in advance about the risks of bladder injury etc so I was a bit nervous on the day but it was fine. It took quite a while to get to baby due to scar tissue etc but it was fine. Minimal bleeding with all sections. First one I was in 2 nights, 2nd and 3rd just one night. I had morphine after first and third.

I wanted a vbac and vba2c but it didn't work out that way. Complications in pregnancy meant I knew from around 20 weeks I would have an elcs.

@Plantsandpuddlesuits may I ask why the risk of bladder damage goes up on the third ? Im having issues with bladder /UTI at the moment baby only 3 weeks old I'm starting to wonder if they have damaged something with the catheter

I'm not too sure @mrssunshinexxx its been a few years now. It was to do with nicking the bladder during surgery I think as sometimes the bladder can stick to the scar. Sorry I can't remember more details. But I think it was the sort of thing you would know on the day if that makes sense. As soon as the surgery was done they said everything was fine. Sorry you are having issues

Ok thank you @Plantsandpuddlesuits
