Uterine Atony/Hemmorage in second pregnancy?

Hi
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a Post partum Hemmorage during their babies birth?
I had one with my first born and lost 2ltrs resulting in 2 blood transfusions. A very scary time!
They said it was caused by the uterus not contracting back by its self. (uterine atony)
I was also induced for this birth too which I don't think helped.
Now due our second baby and I have opted for a planned C. Section this time but I'm still worrying about having another hemorrhage or the uterus not contracting back after the cesarean too.
Have any of you had a cesarean and had a Hemmorage / uterine atony happen after it?
Thank you

Hi there. Due to your obstetric history of previous PPH you will most probably be given an IV infusion of Oxytocin over 4 hours to help prevent any uterine atony and further PPH. This will be commenced once the baby and the placenta have been delivered.

Post surgery you will have regular observations taken for the first 24 hours which will highlight any problems which can be dealt with by the midwife and medics.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you well for a straight forward caesarean birth with no complications.
