Embarrasing topic sorry!

Had DC2 a week ago, straight forward but big baby with long pushing stage. No tears.

Since then I’ve been very constipated and can feel a bulge as though everything is very heavy down there Confused
I have been to the toilet with the help of a laxative but i still feel achy and heavy down there and everything feels a lot more swollen than normal but only on the inside not outside!

Is this normal a week pp or is it something I need to go and see someone about or does it need a bit more healing time?

If it is something like a prolapse how long does it normally take for the swelling to go down so I can tell? I’m worried I’ll be constipated forever or god knows what!

Feeling like I might be a disaster now!

I had a heavy, dragging feeling down there with my first. Turned out to be a prolapse. I fixed it pretty quickly with kegal exercises. Have you given those a go?

@JustFrigginNameChange I haven’t because they make everything hurt and feel achy but I will definatley give them a go!
I really hope it’s not a prolapse but I feel like it probably is Sad

I felt like that for a few weeks, like you, extended pushing stge and big baby, but ending in episiotomy.

I started pelvic floor exercises when it became comfortable and things soon improved, but I remember being terrified it'd stay like that!

@TheLovleyChebbyMcGee this gives me some hope that maybe it’s all still a bit swollen inside or something?! I was hoping it was just linked to being constipated but it feels even worse now I’ve finally gone Sad

I’m day 6 after birth and I’m feeling normal outside, no pain and I didn’t tear but it feels awful and heavy.

I asked ag my 6 week check and they were kind, but in a sort if 'oh dear, don't you realise how normal this is?' Way.

Hope you feel back to normal soon!

Thank you @TheLovleyChebbyMcGee.

I’ve downloaded the squeezy app and am going to give this a couple of weeks try before I go and see someone. DH reminded me it has only been a week but I feel like at this point surely there can’t be much swelling left!

@Tra06 I’m 6m PP and do have a rectocyle 🙁

It doesn’t really bother me now and did improve but it’s still very much there.
Keegels did improve it a lot but I have got lazy…probably need to restart them!!

I would give it more time though alot can heal in a few weeks!

What symptoms do you have now if you don’t mind mentioning? Did the tampon stuck in vagina feeling go away? Can you walk long distances without discomfort? I’m 7 weeks post partum and feeling so so low

Its only really noticeable if I’m constipated or need the toilet to be honest @Tra06
I am walking 5miles a day or so without issue. Sometimes I can feel it and others I can’t but it isn’t effecting my life much if you know what I mean? I thought it was the end of the world when it first happened but now it doesn’t seem like a huge huge problem, more an annoyance.

Have you seen a doctor? Mine said the main thing was physio and limiting any exercise that puts pressure on your pelvic floor (running, squats etc) so I’ve avoided all of that and mainly walked.

You can get surgery if it’s really bad but she tried to warn me off that!
