Are consecutive births always quicker?

I'm pregnant with my 3rd child and hoping to have an elcs after a complicated first birth. (She was born at 39 +3)
However, my second daughter was due to be born via elcs but I went into labour at 38+5 and it was pretty quick/the hospital were under staffed and I ended up with an assisted delivery in theatre. So I'm wondering what my chances are of actually making it to 39 weeks to get the c section date (and then having it) or whether my hospital might bring the date forward? Do babies generally come quicker/sooner with each birth?

I can only speak for my dc but first was a week late and long labour, second two weeks early and very quick, third induced at term and fairly quick but not as quick as second.

Anecdotally based on various friends and relatives:
Quicker, generally yes. As in labour is shorter.
Sooner, no. As in they're just as likely to be overdue.

My experience so far is DS1 was 39 weeks DS 2 is now over due so I’m 40+2 Envy

Midwife said labours are generally quicker on subsequent babies but who bloody knows in my
Experience they will do what they please which is no fun for me!
