Long stop start latent labour first time - quicker second birth?

My first birth was a bit strange as I had 4 days of stop start latent labour contractions...they would start at about 6pm every evening and stop around 6am every morning. Not really really painful but enough to keep my awake all night!

When I did actually go into labour I went from 4cm to 10cm in a couple of hours and things were very fast!

I’m just wondering if anyone had a long stop start labour the first time and if things progressed more quickly second time round? The main issue is I was absolutely shattered by the time I did go into labour. The midwife got my to do these lunges during contractions and that’s when everything progressed super fast so I think baby was struggling to get round the corner (or some slightly more medical term) 😁

With DD I was in latent labour from the Tuesday until she was eventually born bu EMCS on the Fri morning as I failed to progress. With DS I took DD to the park as was 3 weeks from due date and no sign of baby being early started experiencing waves of discomfort which I thought was baby moving around, this ramped up to contractions at tea time waters broke at 21:30 and arrived at hospital at 23:08 with baby born at 23:30. 2 very different experiences and glad they happened the way they did as if I'd had DS experience followed by DD experience I'd have likely got pnd

Everyone's different. I was told my labour including the latent phase wouldn't be as long with the second baby. But I would say it was longer than my first. My first started midnight and I gave birth the following afternoon at 4p.m
The second lasted me 48 hours gave birth afternoon at 4ish again. But contractions were very consistent and didn't get unbearable until the last few hours.
Although not as traumatic and weirdly felt like a more calmer positive experience overall.
