Hi ladies,
I've just had our second baby and totally in the love bubble. But I wanted to ask which day was everyone's worst post c section in terms of soreness? Definitely feeling more sore today than yesterday!

Interested to know this too, having one this summer. Congratulations on your little one ☺️ From all the videos I’ve watched of people who have had one they seem to say day 2 is the worst and it’s a lot better about about day 4/5. I’m gearing myself up for the first few days to be awful and dreading the bit where you first stand up 😂 Hope it goes well for you

Thank you! I'm day 2 and it's totally manageable so far. Sore but not exactly painful if you know what I mean! Good luck xx

Congratulations!
I had one last year, EMCS so I don't know if that effects recovery time or more effects the mental preparation. The first few days are definitely the worst, it was over a week before I didn't feel pain but it progressively got better. I'd warn about over doing too much when you start to feel better. I was eager to get back to normal and looking back I should have rested more. Its good to keep active but if someone else can do it, then let them.

I had CS last Summer. For me, about 3 weeks before I stopped feeling that severe pain, and about 2/3 months before I started to feel 'stronger' (I literally felt frail and weak and couldn't bare showering as had to see/interact with the wound). The worst of the pain was about day 7 (all hosp drugs out of my system). Shortly after I did myself a mischief as I thought I was on the mend and overdid it and tore a stitch. That really hurt! So keep going easy for as long as they've told you to, regardless of your pain level.
Wear massive knickers that sit over your belly button and I slept with a V pillow which massively helped me to avoid lying directly on my side in the night which caused pulling and pain. And a good pulley system to get up in the night! Like a dressing gown cord tied to the foot of the bed (or a willing partner to get you up!!) Keep taking your iron too, as this is important for recovery.
