Chance of future Transverse/Cord Prolapse

Recently had my second child via emergency C-section at 39w after a quick trip to the hospital for a check of possible very slow waters leak turned into baby being larger than I expected (nearly 10lb - DC1 was 8lb at 40w) and transverse with cord and feet near the cervix (worst position really).

Was seen by multiple consultants and we discussed turning DC2, but 'emergency' unplanned C-section was best option. Then, as I was waiting for my turn in the queue, my waters broke suddenly, leading to midwives rushing into the room, one jumping on top of my bed and physically (and painfully) holding the cord inside my cervix as I was rushed down the corridors to theatre. Was lucky to avoid general anaesthetic section, but was still more stressful/traumatic than we were obviously expecting.

The reason it was a shock was that midwives had been saying baby was head down, despite my bump being an odd shape and me thinking baby might've been transverse for a little while. I had 3 different midwives for my last 3 appts so that may have been part of why it wasn't spotted. Equally, my first DC had also caused the weird shaped bump, but looking back, he must've been unstable lie and turned head down just before delivery. Knowing this now and suspecting I've possibly had two babies that have been transverse for at least parts of their last few weeks, I'm obviously worried that a future pregnancy might be the same.

So - has anyone else had a transverse baby/ cord prolapse and went on to have head down babies? I've tried to Google whether the chance would be higher in subsequent pregnancies, but no luck! Trying to work out for number 3 if I would just ask for a elective section regardless!

Hope you get the answer your looking for! My daughter was transverse and I was forced to push her. Also had an emcs in the end!

My 2nd was transverse. Every time they checked he was in a different position so I was eventually told it was unstable lie.
I had to stay in hospital for the last 2 weeks of pregnancy just in case I went into labour.
Ended up with an EMCs.
I'm not planning a third bit it's my understanding that the joints/ligaments etc around the pelvis get more lax with each pregnancy and it was this and hyper mobility that caused my issues. I would expect it to be even worse with any subsequent pregnancy.
