Still have a soft squishy stomach? Should it be gone by now? Or it’s still early? 12 weeks later ?

Totally normal I think. Mine went flat quickly but has never ever felt the same, 16 years later. And I'm not willing to do anything to make it firm again.

First time it goes down easy. Second time is more difficult.
Tip from Pilates teacher, Lee down army spine, legs in table top at 90 degrees at knees. Breath in, have on thighs, breath out, push as hard as you can into your thighs while trying to push back. I repeat 8 times. Your muscles will be shaking, if you are as weak as I was at that point. Really helps the tummy reduce.

Early.
Don't even worry about it until 12 months on.

I think this is one of the disappointing and (to me at least, surprising) things about giving birth. I'd assumed that all that growth was baby, and fluid. Was not prepared for it still to be there after giving birth Blush

Why do you even care ??

You have a beautiful 3 month old baby, enjoy!

Normal to me, just a tip I was taught to do was exercises sucking your belly in and holding it there, it really helped me!
I am quite slim and always took about 18months to go back to normal that includes my hips too and tummy totally flat and not jelly when I turned to the side in bed.
But I never used to exercise then, just the holding in my belly exercise.
Enjoy your new baby 🙂

Are ya serious?! Of course it would.

It should go down naturally, but you can start Pilates in a bit if you feel up to it.

Hate to say it, but pre-baby I always had a tiny waist. Post 2 babies, I’m actually 7-10kg lighter than my pre-baby weight, not at all overweight, but still for some reason have a bit of a squishy belly. I guess it just stretched out a bit... I try not to let it bother me though. I know I’m healthy!

Too early to worry about. In a few months time you could look into Mutu system if still concerned.

LizFlowers · 27/01/2021 21:23

Quite normal. Do some exercises to tighten up your abdominal muscles and review when you are six months post natal.

doadeer · 27/01/2021 21:25

You can Google how to check got abdominal separation before you try any exercise.

Ny tummy felt jiggly like water was in it and every time i had a period it went down more and more until eventually after about the 4th period it was all gone! It was bizzare.
