Miscarriage

Hi, I've posted a few times about my pregnancy progression. Unfortunately the past 3 weeks I have been having a miscarriage at nearly 12 weeks. I have just stopped bleeding today and am wondering, when I can try again? I'm past the grief stage as it was a threatened miscarriage from around 7 weeks. I have wanted to become pregnant for the past 6 years with no luck. I have pcos. Has anyone fell pregnant straight away after a miscarriage? Thanks in advance xx

So sorry for your loss.. I’ve been told your the most fertile after been pregnant so yes maybe your best trying straight away
Good luck

I'm so sorry @Vantheman95.

I would try again straight away. I got pregnant in the cycle following a miscarriage (no period in-between) and am now 27 weeks. We'd previously had problems with both getting pregnant and recurrent miscarriages.

I got pregnant straight after a MC, didn’t wait for a period just started on ovulation testing again once it was clear that the miscarriage had passed.

I have had three miscarriages this year and gotten pregnant pretty much straight away.... however they didn't last.

I did some of my own research as Covid stopped me being referred to the reoccurring miscarriage unit. I found I had high blood pressure and was anemic. The docs prescribed iron tablets and baby aspirin. I became pregnant again and the docs gave me hormone pesseries and close observation.

So far I'm 10 weeks which is the furthest I've been so something touch wood is working. Don't give up but I would try to investigate why it's happening if it's happening frequently. £20 blood pressure kit and a blood test for iron is all i needed.

So Sorry for your loss. I too read about the supposed increased fertility after pregnancy and MC, but am yet to actually find any research papers or evidence! From years on this forum and several others, it seems that in the majority of cases, those that get pregnant straight away, especially without a period in between, then go onto MC again. There obviously are exceptions, but I've hear SO many stories of it being the case, it does seem waiting at least 1 cycle is a good idea.

Have you had investigations from a fertility clinic? I dont have PCOS but know that others are often put on metformin to regulate sugars and aid fertility. Might be a good option to be investigated if not done so already. best of luck x

So sorry for your loss. I had a mc in March at around the same point as you (threatened at7, mc by 10/11 week). I then had chemical pregnancies 2 months in a row (statistically still quite normal) then the next month pregnant again and am 26 weeks now. Definately just go for it straight away.

Hi everyone! I am so so sorry, mums net doesn't send me notifications and I didn't even realise you had all replied. Thank you all so much, for all your kind messages❤️sooo, at present, I have had the miscarriage a few weeks ago, as you all know. Now, I have left sided pain and egg white discharge, the past week. I have done 4 ovulation tests. One on Friday, which was negative, one last night which was positive and 2 today, one this morning which was negative and one this afternoon which was positive🤷🏻‍♀️ anyone make sense of this?
Thanks guys! Xxx

Are your pregnancy tests totally negative, yet? Ovulation tests also pick up hcg so may not be too reliable yet. X

Hi! Yeah, I took a pregnancy test 3 weeks after the miscarriage as advised and it was negative xx
