Hello, just wondering what’s everyone’s birth plan for February!

And also do you think the rules will change again in regards to Covid and birth partners

I'm not due until end of April but my plan all going well.

Induction at 38weeks (measuring on 90th centile and 2nd baby. 1st baby was 9lb3 and poorly)

Epidural

That's my only plan, as it's induction I'm wanting my partner to just drop me off and go home and stay with our daughter until I'm in established labour. I've heard it can take up to 5 days to be in established labour 🤢

In Tayside your partner is allowed in with you through all stages but this may change again before April.

I'm more worried about us both being away from my daughter for a long period. I know she will be fine with granny but would hate for her to feel left out. X

@Rebecca299 I was induced with my first had a 12 hour labour with a delivery of forceps and 3rd degree tear not sure the correct medical term!

Oh yeah granny is the go to baby sitter I find! At least you will be confident and not worry about her she’s in safe hands

I haven’t done an official plan yet but I’m hoping for water birth, I’m hoping it will help the pain a bit and also I’ll feel a little less “on show”
But I’m open to anything, it’s my first so I have no idea on what the pain will be like for me so I may end up back in bed taking all the drugs on offer!
I believe they’ve allowed partners in for the whole labour across the whole of the UK and I’d like to think it won’t change
