VBAC or CS?

Hi everyone!
I had a EMCS 9 years ago with my son, my cervix wouldn't dilate, I was 8 days overdue, then they had me on the drip all night and that only made me dilate half a cm, then my son pood inside and they told me I needed an emergency c section. I was so exhausted by that point I just wanted it over with, he was also 9lbs4.

My now partner was a big baby like me so I'm guessing we will have the same or bigger! I would like to try vbac but what are the odds considering I didn't dilate properly before? Do you have to be induced with a VBAC?

What is everyone's experience having a VBAC? I would like to do it because I remember struggling so bad with breastfeeding my son as I had no milk coming through and the recovery time for the c section was just horrible.

Thank you in advance! ❤️

Like you I too had an emergency c section with my first after them trying to induce me, my babe was small under 6lbs but all healthy no problems. With my second I went for the Vbac, they left me to go over my due date by a week. My waters broke in the morning I was having contractions by the evening. They had to give me some medication to slow down my contractions but baby was born early hours. They had to use ventouse as his hand was by his face when he was coming out!
Overall a very quick birth tbh and was lovely I could hold him properly straight away. Whereas after c section your tied up with wires ect flat on your back as you know.

I loved my vbac. After my waters breaking in the middle of the night, it took a while for my contractions to become regular but once they did it all went fast and I was in active labour for just half an hour and pushed for 3 minutes. I was home 4 hours later as I didnt take any drugs. By far the best birth I've had. My first was vaginal but forceps assisted and second c section due to breech baby

@Worldwide2 @Lilice thank you girls!
I guess what I'm mainly scared about is the fact that I will most definitely have another big baby and my cervix may not dilate again like last time. 😬

I had a wonderful planned c section. Would never do a VB again.
