Would others request the an elective caesarean as well?

Feel a bit ridiculous for even posting this as I'm not even pregnant again yet, but this concern is making me query whether to try again or not.
2 difficult labours, DD was back to back and was a long and painful labour, DS much quicker less painful labour but then had a shoulder dystocia and the medical team had difficulty getting him out, was genuinely very scary.
I would like another DC but I'm really worried about giving birth again after these experiences. At the debrief meeting after DS's birth, the midwife suggested that I might want to request a caesearean should I get pregnant again.
Would others agree that an elective caesarean is the best plan of action if I were to be pregnant again? Are caeseareans less risky than natural births, or more so?
I'm so unsure what to do.

I had an elective c section third time round after two normal on paper but unpleasant labours with my first two. I would definitely go for it. Personally I think the stats are a bit skewed. They say recovery is quicker with natural delivery but that wasn’t really my experience because I think they mean the average natural delivery, not the difficult ones. And elective c sections are so much better than emergency ones because you haven’t been in labour and had everything go wrong before you get to the c section, you’ve just been having a good nights sleep and maybe waiting around comfortably in the waiting room before the op! Also, I found the elective c section really calm and chilled out. I’m a fan!

I had an EMCS but with complications so the second time round I had to fight for the medics to support my VBAC in the way I wanted. I wouldn’t want another c section but that doesn’t mean it’s the right option for everyone.

Generally speaking c sections are safer for babies but not for mother’s but there are so many variables to consider and vagina births do have benefits that c sections births don’t for babies.

I had an emergency c section and luckily it was fine, not sure what I would do next time

No advice, just my experience..
I had a back to back induced labour which ended in an EMCS with DC1. With DC2 I had a VBAC that ended with shoulder dystocia and a bad tear to my urethra. Dc3 was induced VBAC at 39 weeks and I was very worried about all of the above but was very straight forward. No getting stuck, no tearing back home in hours.
I am currently expecting DC4 and hoping for a third VBAC.

I was offered a c-section with DS2, as my first labour was dreadful, ending in an emergency section. I accepted and it was glorious in comparison!

I am very biased in that I have had four ELCS with impeccable outcomes but I struggle to see why ELCS is now not a standard option.

Absolutely loved my elective section. Felt like I was going on holiday when driving to the hospital. Amazing to start those first few days without an exhausting labour at the start.
