C section recovery

My cousin has recently had a baby via emergency c section.
I am concerned because whilst she is staying inside and doing less than she would usually, she is still up and down the stairs, still lifting and bending and generally behaving as if she did not just have major abdominal surgery. She says she’s not in pain, and so she doesn’t mind doing things (even though we are there to support her)

When I had a c section I was very sore for weeks and generally found that hobbling from one room to the next was quite difficult.
I know not everyone’s experiences will be the same so I’m trying to gather some others in case I’m being dramatic and worrying about her for no reason.

It’s been over a week now and her tummy is also quite round and solid... as if the baby is still in there. I can only compare it to when I had my daughter, but whilst mine took a while to go down, it was quite...squidgy... not firm and round.

If you had an emcs did you not feel any pain in the weeks after? We’re you able to go about life as usual? Did it have any negative effects later down the line?

I’m just concerned that she will be doing harm in the long term to herself Confused

My first c section I was hobbling. My second the moment I stepped out of the hospital bed I was fine. Day 3 I felt like I didn't even have surgery. If I did too much (like picking up toddler, hoovering, longer walk etc) then I would be sore the next day though so I learnt to chill out a bit!

My 1st was an EMCS and I was going around a week later as though nothing had happened - no pain or any other issues.

My 2nd was an EMCS and was a bit harder to recover from, probably about 4 weeks before I was back to my usual routine (I walked 6 mike's a day for the school run) without taking painkillers.

I had section on a Monday and walked to the shops on Thursday and the park on Friday. I felt fine - my stomach was sore and bruised but it hurt more sitting down.
My health visitor was shocked that I could and wanted to but I felt fine, so she said no reason not to.

My stomach was hard for about 48 hours and they were a little concerned at the hospital that my uterus wasn't contracting back like it should but it went soft after that so no problem. Has anyone felt her stomach at all? If it's still really hard she should maybe get that checked, but I don't think doing things herself is any concern.

My first baby was an emergency section, felt fine to move.around and lift baby, do light housework.etc.
2nd baby was elective, as they felt i would have the same problems during labour. The recovery was hideous and my wound opened about an inch. It closed up eventually but also had to have two rounds of antibiotics to ensure there was no infection and codeine for pain.
Family and Dh had to step in with school runs for the first two months as I couldn't walk straight, much less drive, I felt very fragile physically and mentally. I'm thankful I had their help else I would have struggled.

C Section just under 3 weeks ago. Wound still a little sore as my stitches haven't dissolved fully yet, but I have been able to do a lot more going into my second week. I'm walking my dog, hoovering and lifting a few things etc.
First week I barely did anything as I could barely move. It was pretty brutal tbf. Plus if I moved too much the blood loss increased massively so I made a conscious effort to rest as much as I could.
