I've got my induction booked for next weds after today's scan as baby is dropping weight and I've got moderate polyhydraminos.
It's my fourth baby and I've never been induced before I'm really scared and worried.
They have said it may end in c section if baby heart rate drops at anytime I've also got gest diabetes.
I want to ask for a section am I allowed Is it worth it ? Will she come quickly

I was induced at 37 weeks after a small placental bleed. Went into hospital in the morning when the bleeding started, at that point I was having contractions but they tailed off so they put me on a hormone drip around lunchtime. Baby was born just before midnight.

Previously I had had a very quick normal birth. This was a harder experience, partly because the bleed was obviously scary and I was planning for a home birth not an induction! However compared to the experiences of many other “normal” labours, it was still very straightforward. No need for pain relief, no instruments, no tearing. So I really can’t complain!

Good luck OP. I am sorry it hasn’t gone to plan, if you are feeling nervous I would definitely ask about a section - do what makes you feel most comfortable.

I've got anxiety problems I had my last son at home as I hate hospitals and the whole process. I just have panic attacks when I have medical stuff happen it's silly I know I can't help it. I hate the thought of being in pain for a couple of days and stuck in there and leaving my other kids for to long.

If you’ve had three normal vaginal deliveries before, an induction will probably be quite straightforward for you. I wouldn’t discount it.

Do you think so ? That's what I'm hoping just because it's was rly wasn't sure if it takes longer x

Hi OP, I was induced at 36 weeks and baby born at 36+6. From ARM/drip to baby was 12 hours, forceps delivery. First baby though, with normal deliveries behind your odds are better than mine! My advice would be ask for the epidural to be put in at the same time as the drip, to save your energy for the pushing stage as inductions can be quite long. Good luck x
