Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could tell me which one of the two (Whittington v UCLH) is best for a woman that is at advanced maternal age, IVF conception, several miss carriages in the past and in need of c section birth?
Both look great but it would be good which one would be best for all the mentioned reasons

IMO, UCH is the better of the two
Clinically
Environmentally
Excellent NICU and SCBU

Thanks for taking the time to answer. What does NICU and SCBU mean?

It seems like UCLH cost for the private room is very very expensive (£850) does anyone know how much it's is at Whittington?

Hi
So sorry for acronyms

NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Usually v premature, babies, very unwell babies Maybe on ventilator. Feeding via Nasogastric Tube,Cots enclosed

SCBU babies who need additional support. Cots open and closed

You said it is a high risk pg, in the event of baby needing additional help UCH is a regional referral centre

I wish you well in your pg. Do talk to your MIdwife and let her know what’s your concerns. The losses you’ve experienced . This is obviously a happy, scary time. It’s A lot to process

Visit both locations see what you think ,what do you think is best for
you , it’s a very personal decision

UCH. My dds born there, and I was an older mother (and although not with any other risk factors that you list, I did get pre- eclampsia) .
Things may have changed recently, but UCH was the better hospital.

Hi
Are you on Facebook? If so, you should join your local mums and dads/or parent group and ask in there..
