Am I in labour? 35 weeks

I'm 35 weeks and I've had two premature deliveries previously. This is the furthest I've ever got. I've got a cervical cerclage and I've been to hospital approximately 1500 times this pregnancy as I've got an irritable uterus which makes me contract regularly. Given my history I've been told to go in to be seen if I'm showing signs of labour, but the last time I went in was Wednesday where I was havinf regular contractions, I had a bleed when the did the speculum but the cervix was closed. I was admitted for observation and went home the next day after the contractions eased. I have been admitted 3 times for instances similar to this and each time I feel like a hypochondriac who's over reacting.

I've been having contractions since last night. I went to bed and woke this morning amazed that I hadn't been woken by the contractions in the night. I've been having contractions all day, around 8 or 9 minutes apart. They eased a bit after I had a bath but they've ramped up again now and they're definitely more painful than they have been the previous times. But is this just another false alarm? The cerclage is still in place, waters haven't broken, I think I've been losing my mucus plug over the past few days but there's been no bleeding. I dont want to go in just to be admitted for observation and then to be sent home again. If anything I'm in latent labour, not active labour yet and if there hasn't been any bleeding then the cerclage is still in place. I'm wanting to wait it out and see if the contractions get closer together or if they ease off again.

Does it sound like I'm in labour this time?

You've been told to go in. Go in. Please Smile

Yes, it sounds quite a lot like labour. The last thing you want is to end up with a nasty cervical tear because things happen too quickly at home and you’ve still got a cerclage in place. Just go in.

Go in. I was in pretty much exact the same situation with my twins. I felt exactly the same about being a hypochondriac but I was always told that if they were closer than 10mins apart to go in. I had many many many scares but at 35+4 it was the real deal. Stitch out and twins here the next day! To reassure you, we had a smooth scbu journey and they are now 6. I really feel for you and remember how I felt at the time but you do have to go in.

I think I would go in, they would rather see you than not.

Everything eased off not long after I posted so I didn't go in. I woke up a few times in the night with strong contractions but nothing regular. I've had a few strong contractions today but again, nothing regular.

35+3 today. Every day is a bonus.

It turns out I was in labour. Contractions became intense and very regular at 11pm on Monday. Arrived at the hospital at around 1am. Baby born just before 3am at 35+5 weeks. Currently in SCBU but doing OK.
