Just that, my baby was transverse at my 34 weeks scan and is still transverse now, is there time for him to go head down I have a scan on the 1st to check an if not then il see a consultant after scan... What should I expect if he hasn't gone head down by then? No point in me speaking to my midwife as she always says to ask the hospital next time I'm there and that's the end of the convo... Anyone been in the same position and babies turnt or able to share what the plan was if they hadn't gone head down...

I have same concern. Baby seems to move from transverse to head sort of down at an angle to transverse again. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow have a growth scan wednesday and seeing consultant about other issues so will ask again then as I'm meant to be being induced at 38 weeks. I've read though that if baby was to stay transverse they will try to move baby in to position or it's a csection. Like I say I've only read that though as my midwife/consultant hasn't really said anything to me about it x

Hello I've read about them trying to move them and didn't like the risk factors of that will add a screen shot of what Google said, I'm praying he goes head down and I can have an induction I really don't want a section, this is my third and bar far the naughtiest 😂hope your appointment goes well xx

This is my 3rd too and yes deffo the naughtiest so far. I don't want a section but also very nervous about induction as my other 2 children were natural labours with no intervention. Hope all goes well for you x

@mummy1214 mine were spontaneous Labours ds1 48 mins and dd2 was 8mins so if I don't have an induction il give birth at home again 😂which il take over a c section idk why I'm so scared for it to end in a section I just know I don't want it -.- x

Hi ladies, my transverse baby was born 2 1/2w ago at 39+1, obviously by cs. I have a large fibroid next to/on cervix which was the reason for that lie. Apparently there is usually a reason for transverse- that’s why it’s so rare. She came out through a j incision, but the incision on my bikini line is low & neat. Placenta was anterior.
Couldn’t have delayed cord clamping as she was slow to wake up after being extracted, but after a few minutes of attention from the midwives and chat from her dad, she was placed on my chest. The entire thing was easier/better/calmer than I expected.

Few things I wish I’d known: transverse babies often have their bodies in squished positions so look into a visit with a cranial osteopath ASAP post delivery. We had to wait 2 weeks and I wish I’d gone in day 3-4.
Baby has had difficulty latching so getting colostrum his syringe was a win for the first 24-36 hours.
Because of the cs (and for me, significant blood loss) milk was slow to come in - broke me to give formula but it was needed. Wish I’d got bottles with teats that are closer to breast like MAM or Hammerman - using Madela/Doc brown (didn’t like Tommy tippee bottle shape for tiny quantities) & it’s made it close to impossible to get her on the breast now she can open her mouth wide enough)

If your delivery is Thur or Fri, ask in advance what support is available from the infant feeding team. It’s shocking and pathetic that there was no support at my hospital and I truly felt abandoned on that front (at one of the larger and well renowned London teaching hospitals no less!!!) it meant I insisted on leaving less than 48h post delivery which was probably too soon but without partners to help with expressing when you’re trying to recover from an op and having a baby and hormones and milk....what choice do women have?

My recovery was amazing / I took paracetamol and ibuprofen as instructed and have had only mild discomfort and no pain. This week I’ve had pains from my uterus shrinking and I’m back into my pre pregnancy clothes!

@Midlifebaby I'm terrified of going for the c section on my own let alone stay at the hospital! :( I'm praying he just turns I have 2 young other children so not being able to pick them up etc is going to be hard :( how was it once you were on the ward do they help you at all? How long till you was able to move about etc I really want to breast feed but will take milk incase, glad your recover was good! And congratulations Xx
