If your waters broke pre term (I'm at 36+3) how long did it take for labour to start? We're you induced? Thank you!

I have no experience of PPROM but from what I understand, if your waters break before 37 weeks gestation then you should go into hospital for monitoring. You will likely be given steroids to help strengthen baby's lungs and may be put on antibiotics as there is a chance of infection if you do not go into labour with 24/48hrs of your waters going.

From what I've read, labour can be stopped/delayed in some situations.
Have you called triage?

Waters went at 37 weeks early Saturday morning. Was checked sat lunchtime and Sunday lunchtime, given the choice to be induced Sunday or Monday. Said Monday to give one more chance-had curry. Induced on a drip 11am Monday had baby 2am Tuesday morning. If you have the drip, have an epidural-it’s like being hit by a bus.

Thank you both!
I've been in hospital since yesterday, had the antibiotics but still waiting on the steroids, they want to try and get him to stay put until the 37 week mark. Then I'll be induced. Thank you that's good advice!
I've been having strong and regular pains but not dilated even 1cm! So frustrating but I know it's best he's stays in these extra few days

@btbtbt You are in the best place and at a good gestation so it's just a waiting game now. How exciting! All the best, not long now until you get to meet your little man 🥰
