Anyone scared that you might be having to pushing a big baby out. 😵😂

I had growth scans cos my baby was too big and struggling to move (so I couldn't feel any movements) he was 10lb 1oz

Consultant 1, 2 and my midwife wanted me to have a C-Section due to baby's position and lack of movement

Consultant 3 made my life hell and said I was opting for a C-Section for vanity reasons and made me cry in a waiting room full of people at 36 weeks pregnant

I had a csection and consultant number 3 said "good job you made the right decision, this could of been much worse"

They needed forceps to take baby out as he was very stuck and quite distressed, I had too much water as well.

However, my Nan gave birth to 6 big babies (9lb + ) and she did it naturally at home!

I was terrified to push, more because of baby's healthy. After seeing how big he actually was - honestly I'm glad I had a C-section and I'd make the same choice again if I had to

Mine was 9lb1 when born and back to back with only gas and air. Dont know if it was the excitement but I couldn't even feel the contractions the midwife had to tell me when to push x x

My 3rd was 10lb 4 had gas and air and episotamy and suction cup to get him out due to him struggling with heart rate I'm now 33 weeks with my 4th and booked in for a section

DS1 was unexpectedly 10lb at 42 weeks. Induced due to being overdue but vaginal birth, gas & air only.

DS2 was induced just past 39 weeks as he was looking even bigger - he was 9lb12 so would have been huge if he'd stayed in as long as DS1! Induction took a bit longer as he was earlier, so I had an epidural, but again had a vaginal birth. 2nd degree tear both times which has healed fine.

Unless the baby is literally too big to fit through your pelvis, big babies aren't necessarily harder to push out. Littler ones can be more likely to tilt their head to one side, or get a hand up by their face etc, which makes them tricky in different ways!

DD was 7 lb 12, Labour was 24 hours on my back and resulted in episiotomy and ventouse as she was stuck and in distress. DS was 9lb, labour was 5 hours mostly on my knees done with only gas and air and a small tear which healed quickly. Bigger babies don't always mean more difficult births

I've got four dc and number 3 was 10lb8 it was honestly no different to pushing out my 7 pounders.
No intervention or stitches big doesn't always equal bad.
Afterwards I had quite strong after pains but was back in the school run after a couple of days.
