**Possibly triggering** risk factors midwives consider

I had an episiotomy and ventouse delivery. I haemorrhaged when the placenta came out and they were not sure if it came out complete so I was put on antibiotics as a precaution. I was low risk throughout my pregnancy. Does anyone know if I would be considered a risk for future pregnancies if I was to have another? I regret not asking at the hospital but at the time another baby was the last thing on my mind!

They would probably make sure to recognise a recurrence of the same issues, but it shouldn't stop you. I had a stroke and multiple blot clots after DS but as soon as I started to try again I saw a midwife just to find out risks and surprisingly they are actually less because they are more aware of them now and able to manage them As soon as I convince I'll be on blood thinners and I'll get extra scans but it won't stop me.

Thank you. I started in the pool on a midwife unit and looking back I feel I know why it didn't all go to plan and would really like to try a water birth on midwife unit again if we were to have another and were considered low risk. So much can happen and every pregnancy is different I know but knowing I wouldn't automatically be considered a risk keeps my hopes up I might get my water birth one day
