Did anyone get emotional before going into labour?

I am 39+1 and this morning have woken up feeling VERY emotional - I feel like crying at absolutely anything. Is this a sign of pre-labour or am I going insane?!

Thanks harleyd and fawkeoff - I feel a bit better than I did this morning but still feel a bit "strange" emotionally. I suppose birth is imminent but I wish I had an idea WHEN!!

I am 38 weeks today and also feel very weepy today. DS and DH have gone off for the day to give me some rest and I cried as i said goodbye them....maybe I was just feeling a bit left out or maybe its a sign!!!! Feeling weird though all day...maybe I'm bored too, dont know!!

I'm totally okay today! Damn hormones, they really made me think I was going to have the baby by now!

I got emotional before I had DS2 - but I WAS already in labour - waving goodbye to DS1, thinking that next time I saw him he wouldn't be an only child anymore!!!

I am now 40+2 with DS3, god knows what I'll be like waving two of them off!!

I know its years old but this is so true, i'm exactly like this today

My friend used to be a midwife and she said that getting the arse about everything was a strong predictor of labour starting soon. I'd like to see a proper published study of this, along with clear definitions of how much of the arse women got, and a comparator baseline of general arse-ness. My stroppy-index would be quite high, I reckon.
