4cm dilated and no contractions

I'm needing a little bit of advice iv had 2 sweeps and last midwife appointment which was Thursday she says I was 4cms dilated but iv no contractions and iv tryed everything to get them going just had on and off cramp she never booked another appointment because she was admint I would have gone over the weekend any1 go any advice on how to start contractions this is my 2nd pregnancy and last time my contractions didn't start until my waters were broken but I have no clue what to do now

I think the best thing is to keep active as much as you can and use a birth ball. Could you text your midwife?

I'm guessing from the sweeps that you are past your due date? I think your midwife was remiss in not making you another just-in-case appointment, so at the latest I'd contact her tomorrow morning (or contact the labour ward), to make an updated plan.

Maybe you do just need to have your waters broken to get things going. Don't know - I never got anywhere with mine, attempted inductions and emergency sections at 42 weeks with both. But my mother had both my sister and I early (for medical reasons), "induced" with no difficulties by breaking the waters.

I had a sweep on my due date and was approx 3cm dilated, she was able to stretch to 4cm, labour started five days later, I had tried everything I could think of to get things going, and it finally happened when I spent a day on the couch eating chocolate feeling sorry for myself I did have a quick labour though, hope things kick off for you soon
