Hey ladies!

I know he's going to come when he's ready but I'm so impatient now and am wondering your tips on bringing on labour.. can you help?

Sex, prostaglandins in the sperm can help soften the cervix.

I swear acupuncture helped with my second - I was desperate to avoid an induction (wasn’t allowed to go past due date for medical reasons) and I had him at 38+4 after a particularly ‘strong’ acupuncture session!

Nothing.

They tend to come when they're ready, OP, but a midwife told me that once contractions start you can get things going properly by walking sideways up stairs. Not as appealing as sex and a curry but worth a go maybe?

Being as active as possible and taking long walks. Also encourages baby to get into the right position!

Hopefully your baby has arrived by now, but if not the only “help” that has any scientific backing (as far as I’ve read) is nipple stimulation... so maybe try expressing some colostrum into a syringe and freezing it for when the baby arrives.

I've tried pineapple, sex, nipple stimulation, a hot curry, long walks and I've also had a membrane sweep. None of which have proved to have any success. Currently 40+4 and feeling incredibly fed up Sad

Good luck! x
