Tips for pain

My anxieties around giving birth have kicked in... I'm 38 weeks tomorrow, my baby is already 9oz more than my first born and I'm shitting it. Literally 😅😲😣 I can't walk 50 yards down the road without pains hitting me like a lightening bolt. I managed to cook a roast today (which ended up lovely, LO eating up every last bit too 💖) and now I'm crippled on the couch unable to move and walk upright.
I can't wait to give birth, and meet our LO, but darn it I only JUST managed last time with a tiny 5 1/2 pounder... Any tips?

Breath breath and breath some more! Up breathing for the first stages and down breathing for the final stage. I found a tens machine helpful at home as all my pains were in my back. I don't know how helpful.they would be for front contractions.

In terms of the labour try not to think of the pain in terms of the size of the baby as they don't necessarily correlate. My first was 9 lbs 9ozs Blush Doctor's say sometimes bigger babies are easier to deliver.
For now, try not to do too much. If you can have a warm (not hot) bath it might help and maybe a pregnancy massage. Do you have an exercise ball? Sitting on that might help. Or doing some light pregnancy yoga/stretches

My bigger baby was MUCH easier to deliver. Also second labours and deliveries are generally easier as everything is a bit more stretchy, having done it all once before. I struggled to push my first (~6lb) baby out, and needed an episiotomy, but my second (~8lb) was out in a few pushes. Totally different experience!

Tens machine for early labour with gas and air if you can get it

Walking / pushing epidural from 5cm

My 10lb was easier to deliver than my 8lb baby! I was going to suggest hypnobirthing but as you're 38 weeks not a huge amount of time. You could still try it though
