It’s 12.30, my waters have broken and gradually emptying. Contractions are 5ish minutes apart/ not strong enough to go in yet.

Any tips for how to get some sleep? I’ve sent DH up to bed but Is it even a feasible aim for me?

Oh how exciting! Flowers
I managed to rest sitting on a gym ball leaning forward onto a pile of pillows on the sofa. I think just follow your instincts & do whatever makes you feel most comfortable & relaxed.
I had a clary sage bath in early labour with my third because I knew I wouldn’t sleep & it was lovely.

Best of luck Flowers

I had a nice warm bath, but I dont think you can do that with your waters broken, maybe get comfy on the sofa and put a gentle film on, the chatter might put you to sleep

Film, for the win. And bouncing on the ball. Too exciting!

Ooh, good luck OP!

Thanks for the tips everyone! Sounds like heading up to bed is a little ambitious haha. Christmas movie it is.

She/he is my first so I’m completely clueless 😂 hoping they’re as impatient to meet me as I am to meet them.

How you doing OP?

MrsHampshire2017 · 20/12/2019 19:57

Hey! My beautiful boy was delivered by emcs on Sunday afternoon as my body was struggling. Labour established at 4am, got admitted but slow progress and the oxytocin drip did nothing. I’m so proud of everything my body did and now trying to learn how to be a mum!!
