This has been recommended to me but I would love to hear people’s experiences with one!

I had one yesterday (it was a trial to ensure I could feel when to push but resulted in me being able to walk and keep active too) and I’ve got to say it was pretty good. I could feel just enough pressure to push but not any pain - and while I needed An instrumental to save my child’s life for unrelated reasons I was fully dilated and able to push him out

@GrumpyHoonMain it’s great to hear someone’s experience that’s so recent! I hope you and baby are doing well now after delivery, I am a candidate for the instrumental end due to a heart issue they gave me a heads up, how did you find that with the walking epidural can I ask? Was it enough pain relief for the instrumental end?

They do top you up for instrumental. I found being able to move during my labour meant I could understand how my contractions and body worked. So when the pain relief was topped up I could still push despite not feeling them - I am also fairly fit and active in general though. But don’t worry - even if need top ups earlier you will be offered them. That’s the beauty of the epidural - it can be topped up fairly easily
