Waters Breaking

I’m 38+2 weeks pregnant, with my first baby, and I was just wondering, will I 100% know when my waters break? I’ve read up on it and everything I’ve read has said i might feel a popping sensation or I might not feel the break at all, and then a gush or a trickle and it’ll be an odourless, watery substance that’s either straw coloured or clear that comes out. But I’m confused, because when my baby moves and kicks it can feel like popping, and I’ve felt something come out before and I’m not sure if it was discharge or not, because it was watery but I haven’t had contractions I don’t think. It’s all so new and confusing, can anyone help?

With my first I was leaking at 36 weeks and went to get checked at the hospital. I was sent home and they said it was normal to loose fluids fowards the end. The following week the same thing was happening. I just put pads on, thinking I was becoming incontinent. That night I went into labour, didn't realise it until I was in so much pain I went to the hospital and was in fact 8cm already. That time it was indeed my watera that I was loosing. I thought waters breaking would be a more bit obvious than that. With my second, there was no doubt when it happened. It all went off all of the sudden, like in movies lol x

With my 2nd my waters breaking were first signs of labour. Id just been for a wee, lay down and few minutes later realised I was leaking. It was clear colourless and didn't smell of wee and got worse when I stood up.
