I feel baby very low inside my belly, could it be a sign that labour is happening soon?

I’m 36 weeks and few days pregnant, I got placenta previa, so go into labour would be not a good thing to happen. But I do feel that baby is lying really low, her head is not engaged, also the placenta in the way wouldn’t let it happen I think. Just worried about feeling her so low in my belly.
Next week there is a full moon and by the old wives tales baby tend to want to come out just before or the night of a full moon.
I’m so anxious of going into labour...

I also have Placenta Previa so understand your fears.

Have you got a date for your section yet? Any bleeds so far?

PS...the baby won't know if it's a full moon Wink

My second was very low for 2 weeks before I went into labour. There was a lot of waddling.

Hi there, c section in less than 2 weeks. Just getting really anxious, to be honest I don’t know how you feel, but I haven’t been able to just relax since finding out about the placenta previa...
Just wondering how many weeks are you?
When are you getting your c section?

Ah, the thing about the moon was a midwife who told me ages ago even before I had any children, we were chatting about her job and she said that it was usually very busy during full moon with women going into labour. Hopefully just a coincidence hehe

@Savama I gave birth at 39 + 1, had that very low down imminently giving birth feeling from 36/37 weeks, started having contractions at 38+4.

I am 29 weeks tomorrow and I had it diagnosed at my 20 week scan as is the norm. From the start, they have said mine will never move as the position just won't allow it. I've have a further 2 scans since and am being scanned every 4 weeks.

I have found it difficult to be honest. I am on knicker watch every time I go to the toilet. I also have hypermesis and just as that was easing slightly, I got this diagnosis so I have only had about 10 days of not worrying about something or another.

They have said my section will be 37 or 38 weeks, obviously depending on if I have a bleed between now and then too. So far, I haven't bled at all.

My consultant had said that they are more than likely needing to cut through the placenta to even get to the baby so they are anticipating blood loss and will ensure that my blood type is available should I need a transfusion. It's the cutting through the placenta which is worrying me. It's going to be complicated enough without them having to do that.

I should be glad that at least it's diagnosed so it won't be a shock and an emergency during labour but it doesn't stop me worrying.

This is likely to be my last child, I wish I could enjoy the pregancy.

@Ribenaberriesgowoo82
I totally understand how you feel. I had a bad all day morning sickness until around 16 weeks and I was looking forward to get more active and enjoy my pregnancy after that, but then 20 weeks scan and this thing with the placenta.
I searched a lot about the possibility of the placenta moving away from the cervix, I don’t want to give you false hope, but from what I saw, anterior placenta is more likely to move away, my one is posterior and the doctor/sonographer said it would be very unlikely to move after my 28 weeks scan.
Are they going to scan you again at around 34/35 weeks?
I read about women whose placenta moved away very last minute, like 36 weeks scan and it had moved.
Fingers crossed it will move away from the cervix for you.
X

It's bollocks, confirmation bias at best. Article here.

No chance of mine moving. Mine is both posterior and anterior, large, thin and is shaped like a sling so there is nowhere for it to go.

I have scans at 32 and 36 for both growth and placenta position.

In other news, we are having a 4d scan tomorrow to make one of the scans fun rather than medical to hopefully lighten the mood a bit. Grin
