Failed induction - some questions

Not for me, for my dsis
Is 40+15 today . Has had two sweeps and started the induction process on Weds pm, still no sign of it working.
At what point will they give up? I did search this topic and saw that some people were "let home" between attempts, they are clearly not doing this for dsis and she is fairly incommunicado right now (also don't want to pester her as I know this is a long way from her hoped-for birth )
Does anyone know why these strong-sounding drugs don't work for some? I honestly had no idea (two electives and one very quick induced stillbirth at 21 weeks ) that inductions for near-term deliveries could fail in this way

Im glad she had her baby, i know it never works as you want when it comes to birth. I kust put natural birth with all options open w=if needed on my birth plan.
Im ok being overdue, but people seems getting worried or lets say shocked by the fact baby is not on time. Including dh and pils, even neighbors, and ppl know me seems impatient. I stopped going out nearby, as i had enough off ppl raising their eyebrows and " Are you still with us?
Obviously there is nothing i can do, i tried everything expect sex, castor oil, nothing worked.
I dont know what im supposed to do, mw is on hols for 2wks, so im supposed to see someone else this wednesday at home unless baby arrives before.
I went and did my weekly shopping a few miles away from home as i dont want to meet some1 i know. I could go on about hours, i really want my baby out, and i dont want what to do.
Anyway, im happy your sis had her baby, i bet she is happiest person on the whole world. I cant wait to meet my baby, too
xx

congratulations to her and to Aunty Marina!

Just caught up with this, congratulations Auntie Marina!! And best wishes for your sis and family You'll be brilliant at offering advice as (apart from being naturally lovely anyway) you'll know exactly what she's going through after a cs...

Much love

I am off down there tomorrow with a carrier bag full of Floradix, lavender oil, big knicks and peppermint oil
Thanks all, can't wait to meet her and compare anaesthetists with dsis (all of mine have been nice but barking )
Divamum, hope all goes well for you, and very soon too . I know dsis and BIL have found the waiting really hard work

Thanks both. She's fine fio, I've just had a really annoying photo of her three hours post section looking as though she just came back from having her hair done and my as yet unnamed niece is hairy and squinty and simply gorgeous like newborns are.
I feel very privileged today, you will know what I mean my love XXXX How are you doing?

First, something of a late entrant to the field, and probably only. I'll mail you a snap

batters, I'll do that from home, where I have sensibly resized versions. The one I was originally sent was almost as big as she is
