Possibly early labour?

Nearly 39 weeks and tonight I’ve been on the loo a few times having a “clear out” (not sure if it was the fish supper I ate though 😳), crippling pelvic pain to the point I cannot walk without wondering if I’ll collapse, baby furiously moving around, tightenings non stop and unable to sleep. Does this sound like labour or wishful thinking?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Certainly could be. Not uncommon for your bowls to ‘empty’ in prep for labour Grin.

With my first I had pain on and off all night the night before to the point I couldn’t fall sleep. It came in waves and was painful. The length and time between the pains was all over the place tho. By morning with it being my first I thought I was in the thick of it so went to hospital were I was only 1cm but she confirmed was the early stages. Got home at 8am- proper contractions started about 1pm- hospital at 4.30, was 5cm, and he was born at 6.30. In my experience I knew when the real contractions kicked in. You could definitely feel a pattern and the pain getting gradually worse and more intense, and the pressure was insane- like everything was going to come out my arse Grin. Keep an eye on it and if you’re worried you can always phone for advice!

I hope things went well OP. What you describe could be a placental abruption which needs emergency medical intervention.

If anyone reads this I hope they don't ignore such symptoms.
