C-Sec painful during TWW and AF

no clue if this is best place to post?

But my EMCS (June 2019) cut really plays up in lead up to period and during my period too. Is this all normal? I have a pretty low pain threshold anyway I think but this needs constant pain killers just to take the edge off.

Anyone have any advice? Is this just my PMS life now post Section?

Had 2 c-sections everyone is different first time round no issues other than losing feeling in my tummy now its worsen next to no feeling was told it's normal if they cut through nerves(EMC) its just your skin and scar stretching and adjusting as your body gets used to it should ease after time if it doesn't speak to your GP HV or midwife but it's still early days x

Thank you for your reply @GlitterSparkle85 - I'll perhaps mention it to my GP if it's like this again next cycle!

I've had 2 emergency sections (the last one was in June 2018) and I don't get any pain in the lead up to my period. I would definitely get it checked out as endometriosis can form in the scar although I don't know if that would take longer to be noticeable?

ah that would be a worry @Dinosauratemydaffodils - would that stop us conceiving again do you know? current TTC which is why I think I am noticing it so much?

I have noticed that my scar seems pretty raised and can certainly feel masses underneath it - if that makes any sense?

@Twittlebee. I honestly don't know. I wouldn't have thought so but am not a doctor. Adhesions could be another cause perhaps which might tie in with the raised scar and masses Dc1 had a French consultant in NICU and she told me to massage my scar as soon as it was healed to prevent build up of scar tissue. No idea if it helped but I don't have any numbness or any issues so it might be worth a try.

I think given you are ttc, I would speak to a doctor asap.
