Really want a waterpool

Hey, please be nice.

So first 2 pregnancy i was a bmi 30 and was told i wasn't allowed to give birth in the waterpool, i was very upset, infact none of my births have been very good. Anyway, last year i was told i have anxiety, depression and IBS, and in January this year i suffered a miscarriage 😔 it has been a very difficult year, i even put on weight... i was begining to do a diet when i found out i was pregnant, my bmi is now 40 😭 my own fault i know but i've always wanted a waterbirth, i love water. The way it feels and i love watching it move, but i just don't think they'll let me with me being so big. With having severe morning sickness and hardly eating i feel really low right now, so i'm dreading asking for a waterpool and them turning round and saying i'm just too fat. This really is my last child and i'd love for it to go my way, even if its just sitting in the pool through contractions sigh
Anyway, i just wondered if there was anyone on here who has had one and being the same weight...

Congratulations OP and sorry to hear you’ve had a tough time. Sorry I can’t advise as I’m not in that situation - but thought it’s worth mentioning that even if you had a healthy BMI and could plan a waterbirth, there’s always a chance it still wouldn’t work out for all kinds of reasons - they started filling the pool up for me, but there was no time to get in Grin so I don’t think it’s worth setting so much store on it anyway. A few people I know got in and hated it, so got back out. There’s no harm in asking, but like you say if they said no before chances are the answer will be the same if your weight is even higher now.

Thank you for taking your time in answering 😊
My first one i had to be induced and was in labour for 17 hours and then a forcep with a 3rd tear, second one i couldn't feel much at 8 month but when i went they said to come back of he had stopped moving. Told midwife at 9 month that i was getting concerned and had to be rushed into hospital, had to lay on my left side for 8 hours and then give birth to him. Not exactly happy births. I'll definitely be asking, but like you say its doubtful.
Thank you again x
