Finally, 7 days after due date, have had a bit of a show and mild contractions. Have had a bath and am waiting for DH to make me some toast.
Questions - could this be a false alarm (dont want to get my hopes up too much) and when should I put my tens machine on.
I know I've done this before but its starting differently this time.

Certainly sounds like things are starting.

GOOD LUCK

I would go for a walk and move around energetically a bit to get things going before you put the tens on.

How exciting! Good luck.

Just relax and get on with your normal day. It might not be today (sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!) but then again it might. So for now... make sure to eat regularly and to drink. Also don't forget to go to the loo.

You'll know when you want your TENs on. Hope it is today. But REST REST REST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or gently potter about!

Oh how exciting. Definately sounds like things are starting. Good luck. Will be able to check on progress all day because I'm at work!!

Good luck, loujay - am in almost the same position as you...

GP friend of mine has advised rest with little ten minute walks or leg stretching excercises every couple of hours - nice compromise on advice given so far .

Update - still having irregular contractions and have managed to have a bit of a sleep.
Am going for a walk in a bit!!
So different from last time which was 4 hours start to finish...........looks like I am in for the long haul.

Don't walk too far otherwise you make yourself exhausted and you need your energy for labour. Remember to eat, drink and wee regularly.
