congratulations..have you posted a birth story / announcment?

re infacol.....i;d leave it for now

are you breast or bottle ?

lots of other ways to help get wind up...

good firm rubbing, and baby being over your shoulder, with their tummy on your shoulder, that can help

is he really struggling to bring up wind?

babies don;t always need to burp..sometimes you can see a little blueish tinge around their top lip, that can indicate wind that needs to come up

infacol hasn't worked on my 6 week old DS either. I have bought some Woodwards gripe water. (about £2 in asda) and that is working brilliantly on him. I think you may have to just try a few different types and see which ones suit. My DS has been really windy and gripy. Pulling his knees up to his chest etc and in the evenings he just cries almost non-stop. This is the only thing that has helped him so far...
I am breast feeding, as Lulumama says it's worth trying to help him bring it up using rubbing etc but if that doesn't work, try other types of gripe water.

Hi there,
I use Colief drops, you add them to the feeds and it does work for my 10 week old baby. I notice he doesn't bring back up any milk afer his feed either, since I started using this over a month ago now. I do also use Infacol on particularly bad days, just before each feed and or in between if he is particularly uncomfortable and upset. It usually takes 5 mins to work, together with a little cuddle on my shoulder and he relaxes again.Try gently massaging his/her tummy aswell. you could also try using more water to less scoops, when making the bottles to dilute the feeds a little, because he was not the weight shown on the box and his little tummy was not able for equal scoops of formula to water. He is thriving now and I am presently giving him 6 scoops now to 7 floz of water and he is fine.

Hope this is of some help

Infacol is meant to have a build up effect. A good emergency relief for my incredibly windy ds was 1 tsp of cooled boiled water. Very old remedy - basicly the same as gripe water.
