Please can you show me the size or tell me how big your bag was for delivering baby?

And did you pack a separate bag for the baby? I think I will pack a separate one in case he goes to special care like my last son did

We packed a carry on size suitcase and a hold all. I didn't eat or drink anything throughout labour. I laboured pretty much naked. And my husband didn't change his clothes once.

Nobody used what we'd brought other than the baby!

I also had a carry on suitcase...one side with my clothes/pads etc and one side for baby clothes and nappies. We then had a separate bag for snacks...very glad I had these as I was kept in a few extra days that I wasn't anticipating and so I made my way through this bag slowly!

2 small suitcases - carry on ones on an easyJet flight. Used loads of it.
Oh and two pillows for extra comfort. Well, just for any comfort

Last time I packed as if I was going away for 4 months and used none of it! This time I have a small bag with stuff in for me while I labour (snacks, slippers, dressing gown, lip balm etc) and another small bag with baby stuff and my toiletries/ hair dryer etc for when baby is here that hubby can go and get from the car once baby is here.

One bag just a big bigger than they allow for hand luggage on planes.

I had a small suitcase for me and a weekend bag/hold-all for the baby. These were left in the car.

I also had a small weekend bag with immediate essentials for both of us that I took in the hospital with me.

If we were discharged very quickly there would be no need to lug the big bags around which is why I had the third bag containing essentials for us both.

With both kids I was kept in for a week so it was necessary to have the big bags and my husband brought them up once we were on a ward.

Separate bags are easier so you know where to look when you want something specific.

I had a small suitcase with nappies, my stuff and baby stuff.

Changing bag which had first outfit, muslins etc in.

DH had a backpack with snacks.

Back pack . Kind of the size a teen would take to school.
Couple of pairs of pj’s and slippers
Pack of disposable knickers and pads
3 baby grows
A few nappies
Toothbrush and toothpaste
A book
Deodorant
Small towel , hairbrush and a travel pack of soap, moistures cream.
Lucky my mum came in most days so was able to swap things around, take pj’s home was and bring clean set in with ds 2.

thank you so much
the consensus seems to be the same with the hand luggage size that's what I thought
I'll also put two pillows and a blanket in the boot for me because it's crap having the sheets and all the wires/ catheter. I'll be having another section.
I don't remember eating any snacks at all as I was in such a state and my son went to special care. I think I just cried and drank water and pop from the vending machine I can't remember
I'll do one for the baby as well
We live only a few minutes away but my husband is rubbish at packing finding things and following instructions so I don't want to ask him to bring bits up if that makes sense
Thank you for the help
