Mucus plug after a sweep ... normal ?!

Hi everyone.
I am 39+5 weeks pregnant today, I had a sweep done on Tuesday at 39+2.
I was told I was 1cm dilated & my cervix is very thin & she is well on her way.

I have been losing my mucus plug since & it is still coming out 😐. Is this normal ?
Is there anything I can do to help bring labour on naturally ?

Having another sweep on Monday.
1st baby.

I think it’s absolutely normal and happened to me with my first. In all honesty though I tried all the ‘methods’ to bring on labour (all in the same day including a sweep at one point! 🙈) and eventually sweep no 3 sent me into labour but I was already 3cm when she did the sweep. Be patient they come eventually! Good luck!

I wasn't offered a sweep until my due date. Is there a reason you have been offered one early (you don't have to say) or is it standard practice? I would say losing your plug is normal and just keep mobile, going for lots of walks and bouncing on a birthing ball if you have one.

I am under a consultant due to my heart condition (only mild) but they dont want me going too far over due as I have to have an epidural & I can only push for 1 hour.
I have my 40 week midwife appointment on Monday and they are giving me another sweep then if she hasn't arrived by then.
I've got a very sore bottom of my back this afternoon & my bump keeps going very hard !

I lost mine after having a sweep at 38w2d. And DS emerged the next day!

I had one early for similar reasons - under consultant care, scheduled for an epidural, only allowed to push for an hour.

Bump going hard sounds like Braxton hicks. Fingers crossed you are in your way op. Will you have to be induced if you go to far over then? Hopefully you won't need it.

It's hard to know what is going on when it's your first ... I have no idea how I should feel or if what I am feeling is normal🙈.
Yes they are inducing me if I go over 41 weeks, So want to do my best to avoid that.
