Antinatal Classes?

My last lo arrived at 29 weeks so we hadn't attended any classes yet but the labour itself was fine and I think that knowing nothing wasn't actually such a terrible thing as I didn't have any preconceived ideas about how it 'should be' and just did what I was advised as and when. I'm now 30 weeks with dc 2 and it's fairly likely I'll go again early. Because I'm consultant led and my hospital is geographically close but not actually in my official district I have fallen through the cracks and haven't been booked in for any classes this time either. Tbh I'm wondering if I should bother pushing to go to them or not? It would mean sorting childcare for ds who is now 2 and so it would be hard for DH to attend. He has a long commute too so daytime ones would be tricky too. I've been going to baby yoga again but the class this time is run by an ex midwife and I feel like she has given me a lot more prep than last time anyway. Should I bother pushing for the classes or just leave it?

In my area you book them yourself if you want them - both the NHS ones and things like NCT. I found them useful, as they distilled the important information - but it's nothing you can't find out from a good read of Mumsnet/NHS website. You've already done thus before, so you know a lot. Do you feel you're missing anything?

I know that's not really an answer, but I found mine more helpful as reassurance, making me feel.like I was prepared rather than actually telling me stuff I had to know or couldn't find elsewhere - if that makes sense? They're never a bad idea, but you probably don't need them!
