Chronic fatigue syndrome and 🤰

So I've found out I'm pregnant very big surprise!

I have chronic fatigue syndrome and I'm already very nervous about how on earth I would cope with labour as I can barely bush my own teeth at times.

Pregnancy will be a huge learning curve all over again in terms of how to manage my fatigue again but a natural labour... Aghh.

Anyone else been pregnant and CFS and have any wisdom for me!? 😅

Congratulations
Who will look after the baby when its born? Do you have a nanny or will your partner be a sahp?

Thank you!

It'll be me as I'll be on mat leave, we won't be able to afford for my partner not to work or a nanny! I have my mum close by who I know will be a great help.

But I'm more concerned about the actual birth and getting through that with CFS

If you've got CFS you do need think about who will look after baby. Babies are utterly exhausting and the birth can take it out of you for months.

Are you bottle feeding? That should help.

Can you request a C section?

Who will do the night feeds? Will your partner, or will your mum move in with you temporarily? If you don't have the energy to brush your teeth how will you manage being up all night with a baby?
Have you met with the midwives yet? Hopefully they can help you prepare for birth
Good luck!

I am daignosed with CFS

When I was pregnant I was the healthiest I have ever been either beofre or since

I breast fed and spent an awful lot of time in bed with the baby

DH did most of the household stuff & once woke with the baby, changed her held her on my breast to feed then he winded her and got her back to sleep without me even stirring!

Good luck - listen to your body and rest whenever possible
