What happens to my belongings during a c-section...

I’m having a c-section very, very soon and it’s just occurred to me - what happens to my belongings whilst I’m in theatre?
I know I am admitted to one ward - we’ll call it ward 1, walk down to theatre, then go to recovery, then on to post natal ward - ward 2... but that happens to my stuff in the mean time - my clothes, my phone, baby’s things?
Where will it be and how does it get from ward 1 to ward 2?

And the same question for whilst my birth partner is in scrubs - what happens to their stuff too!?

Yep, this minor thing is bothering me so any answers gratefully received!

very valid question
my fil had his phone stolen from the bedside whilst he went to the toilet.
hospitals are not the place to take irreplaceble valuables with you.

op as pp said, take only what you really need, ideally one bag that can be easily carried.
valuables (phone, card) with your birth partner until you are on your ward where hopefully you will have a trolley with a lockable comprtment.

I don't know, I think a porter must have brought it across. In our hospital, you briefly go to a room on the labour ward (I was there less than an hour), then theatre, recovery straight outside for 30 mins and straight into postnatal. So I arrived at 8.30, and was in the ward by midday.

This time though, I'll just put a few bits in my handbag, nappy, phone etc and everything else can stay in the car. Last time I looked like I was going for a holiday!

There is a maternity car park which is about 20 seconds walk from the postnatal ward. So once I'm there (about 45 mins after my section last time), my husband can do a quick trip for our bags.
