After two CSs I would suggest:
Once they let you up, keep moving; it really does help
A nightdress may be easier than PJ bottoms for the first couple of nights
Pack cereal bars/snacks - I've never yet made it to the day room for breakfast, thanks to hungry babies!
Have some ready prepared meals available for when you're home
Remember not to twist for the first few days, e.g., when flushing the loo
If you have more than one loo in your house, put a small kit of spare knickers, maternity pads, breast pads and lanolin in each so you don't gave to keep going up and down the stairs
Walking poles are really useful for stairs if you find you're struggling
If you think you're constipated request lactulose so you don't strain
Drink lots of water before and after
Give yourself time to heal - there's no award for being the fastest to recover
Use pain relief if you need it - there's no award for ignoring your discomfort either

Good luck Smile

Mine got a little infected- from overhang rubbing and being hot i think- i had antibiotics which did nothing. At 12 weeks still red and sore my hv recommended sudocreme and it went by the next day
Still have delightful overhang and need to sudocreme every so often

Peppermint oil tablets. Wind pain is bad.
Poop as quick as you can. Take lactose if needed. Or before it's needed.
Cover wound when you cough or laugh
Massive pants
High leggings and jammies. Nothing that sits close to the wound.
Get moving quick and keep moving.
Sleep sitting up if needed.
Take painkillers on schedule for first week. Keep it regularly even if you think you don't need it.
